What Is Counselling?
Counselling offers you the opportunity to have some time and space that is just for you. It offers a place to talk openly about what you’re experiencing, without judgement or pressure.
Life can sometimes feel difficult, confusing or overwhelming. You may be struggling with something specific, going through a period of change, or simply have a sense that things aren’t quite where you want them to be. You don’t need to have all the answers, or even know exactly where to begin. Together, we can explore what is happening for you, make sense of your experiences and consider what you would like to change. I believe counselling is a collaborative process, where we work together to understand what matters to you and identify steps towards a more fulfilling way forward.
My aim is to provide a warm, supportive and respectful space where you can feel heard, understood and able to be yourself. We can work at a pace that feels right for you, with your needs, hopes and goals at the heart of our work. Sometimes, having someone alongside you can make it easier to see things differently, discover new possibilities and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
What Does Counselling With Me Look Like?
My approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA), which aims to better understand the ways that we understand ourselves, relate to others and make sense of the world around us. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and that counselling works best when we work collaboratively - with curiosity, honesty and respect.
Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of yourself, identify what you would like to be different and help make future steps clearer. We’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, while keeping your goals and what matters to you at the centre of our work.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Counselling can simply be a place to pause, make sense of things and find a way forward.
How I Work:
I believe that in order to get the most out of counselling you first need to feel comfortable in the way it is delivered. Sometimes a format just isn’t for you and that’s okay. I offer a variety of differing methods that enable you to access support in a way that feels right for you. Whether you’re navigating stress, relationships, or big life changes, my goal is tailor every step to fit your pace and goals. To me, this starts at the very way we meet each other.
I offer in-person sessions in Winchester as well as via Google Meet or phone call. This allows for you to have some more flexibility around your therapy and how it looks for you.
Where I Work and Prices:

Phone 50 Minute Session: £60

What happens next?
-
If you would like to start counselling with me, scroll down to the “Email Me” button below to send me a note. This will need to include your name, email and your question or a brief note on what brings you to counselling. I will then respond to you as soon as possible with my availability and next steps. This will include discussion around availability for a free, 30 minute consultation call.
-
Once we have arranged a time that works for us both, we will have our consultation. This allows us some time to get to know each other and will include a more in-depth discussion around what brings you to counselling and some rough ideas around some goals of our work together. Don’t worry, this doesn’t have to be too specific! This is just an opportunity for us both to see if we are good fit for each other.

If you decide you would like to work with me, we will then arrange a time that we can meet going forward. I work in an open-ended form of counselling which means it is your choice how many sessions we have together. This will be something we discuss in our consultation and will be reviewed as we go along.
If you have more questions or want to book a free 30 minute consultation, I’d love to hear from you. Send me an email through the link below and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
